The Minneapolis office of Weber Shandwick has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Web Developer.  You will be the liaison between the design team and Developers to translate static design files into functioning HTML Web sites.  This position reports to the Programming Supervisor and works closely with the entire Web production team, public relations account staff and has limited interaction with clients.

Duties include: 

• Assisting in design and production of Web sites from “slicing” PSD files to general HTML coding
• Content uploading through custom CMS
• Mass email testing and distribution through a third-party vendor
• Ensuring all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design teams
• Serving as client counsel on best Web practices and procedures and advising clients on the extremely sensitive nature of sending out emails for mass distribution

Qualifications include: 

• Post-secondary education
• 1 – 2 years related professional experience
• Skilled knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver
• High comfort in Illustrator, Flash
• Proven experience slicing Photoshop design files and converting to valid XHTML/CSS web templates
• Comfortable with the use and integration of various JavaScript libraries, most notably jQuery
• Knowledge of SPAM filters and email protocols a plus
• Can provide self-direction but follow instruction accurately and possess great attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Exposure to ASP.NET, C# and/or Cold Fusion programming technologies a plus
• Exposure to SQL Server a plus
