The Key Accounts Manager (KAM) has primary responsibility for the interface between EBD for business to business relationships with strategic customers. The KAM will be the primary person for driving sales, marketing, and professional activities in assigned accounts. The KAM will develop, negotiate, implement, and evaluate contracted agreements with strategic accounts. They will also monitor and evaluate contractual compliance and financial performance and will design and lead contract pull-through activities with the full-line team by developing and maintaining relationships with key account executives and decision makers at all levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Bring a unique set of skills, information, and value to KAM’s area of responsibility. Directly impact EBD sales, profitability and market share through the implementation and development of sales strategies and programs. • Provide reporting, analysis, and technical support as needed and required • Superior and successful development and implementation of sales strategy and programs • Interpretation and distribution of divisional strategic IDN information. • Interpretation, communication, and implementation of Corporate Strategy. • Contract launches • Contract compliance • Key customer relationships • Provide assistance at National, Regional conventions, seminars and other functions as requested. • Responsible for maintaining awareness of competitive strategies, products and activities and to forward information to management on a timely basis.
Implementation: Impact EBD profitability, and market share by: • Driving contract launches, compliance and strategy. • Facilitating access in key competitive hospitals to new/proprietary technology proprietary contracting. • Identification of competitive conversion targets (accounts and IHN’s) for strategic implementation.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Needs complete understanding of all Energy-based Devices business • National/Divisional GPO analysis. • Ongoing regular GPO updates.
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:
• Demonstrate ability to successfully sell and develop long-term relationship with all levels of hospital management • Demonstrate ability to convert competitive accounts and implement all EBD IDN programs. • Must be analytical, articulate, organized and a self-starter. • Demonstrate excellent technical abilities as well as a good conceptual understanding of the changes occurring in the market.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: • Minimum of five (5) years medical sales experience • Minimum of three (3) years Energy-based Devices sales experience
