Key Account Manager
Our client is a multibillion dollar global organization that is the dominant company in their industry. They remain financially very strong and are in fact growing and hiring.
The organization has an opportunity to lead sales into one of their larger, well-established accounts that generates annual revenues well into the eight figure range. The account is a well-known Fortune 500 company.
The Key Account Manager will have responsibility for identifying and generating new business opportunities within the account as well as fostering and growing the relationship with the company and its decision-makers.
Important metrics for the KAM will of course include revenue and new growth, as well as integration targets.
The position will work from a home office anywhere in the Chicagoland area but will of course spend considerable time at the client’s headquarters.
There may be regular travel to other customer locations.
Our client’s products and services are a relatively complex solution that fits a strategic selling approach.
They will be open on industry background but your work must be B2B sales, with considerable experience focused on managing one large national account.
Compensation: up to ~120K + 15-50% bonus
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
5 or more years experience in a B2B solution sales role
3 or more years dealing with a large National Account
Expert at managing and building the relationship with that National Account
Must be very strong on building a value proposition using complex solutions with a lot of variables
Experience with long sales cycles and multiple decision makers
Understanding of strategic selling processes
Willing to relo to the Chicago area or already live there
Willing to travel ~60% & work from a home office
