Responsible for managing all aspects of assigned key accounts. Develop and manage critical business relationships between internal customers, retailers, sales force and brand(s) in order to build confidence, and increase sales.
- Assist key customers, i.e., buyers in problem solving.
- Answer incoming calls in courteous, timely manner.
- Process orders and communicate with buyers and sales reps for the release of merchandise within the specifications of each purchase order.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency.
- Verify price, terms, discounts, routing and special instructions on orders and research discrepancies.
- Maintain contract and backup orders.
- Create customer cross reference numbers and place orders for pre-tickets.
- Make all changes and cancellations on orders and returns.
- Maintain records of product lines, current sales programs and other correspondence.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with sales reps, customers, warehouse personnel, team members and other internal support departments
- Work closely with Vendor Compliance to be sure we are compliant with customer requirements.
- Serve as “back up” for other team members when needed.
- Review and release orders for shipment.
- Monitor past due orders by maintaining an updated open order report.
- Lead by Example.
- Perform other duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager.
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience.
- Strong problem solving, organization and follow through skills.
- Excellent telephone, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and website navigation.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in an effective, timely and professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to perform position responsibilities listed above in a professional, friendly manner.
- Demonstrated data entry skills (10-key skills a minimum of 8,000 keystrokes per hour preferred).
