Programmer/Analyst - Longview Khalix
Programmer/Analyst who has demonstrated the capability to perform analysis, design and development for several existing Khalix Performance Reporting and Forecasting applications using Longview Khalix technologies. Successful candidates must demonstrate proficiency working with various Longview technologies including Khalix for Windows, Khalix for Excel and Application Framework. Requirements for this position involve working closely with customers to define requirements and capture the requirements using UML or other methodologies. The candidate must be able to translate those requirements into design documents and then successfully deliver the application enhancements.
Job Description:
Works as a Khalix Analyst, Designer, and Developer on software projects for various corporate and divisional customers.
Brings financial accounting and analysis expertise and applies that knowledge to our customers needs.
Manages all software development duties following the project management methodologies.
Adds value to a particular business process or group of processes. Partners with our business customers to identify solutions that will improve business process to deliver superior benefits. Able to articulate the business value and impact of proposed changes.
Recognizes the impact/involvement of all IT sub-groups for a given project. Take responsibility for informing and coordinating the work of other IT groups, as related to a given project.
Leads communications of increasing scope across an entire process initiative. Coordinates customer/supplier meetings. Engages leadership as needed.
Demonstrates the ability to estimate end to end processes. Demonstrates the ability to estimate remaining effort.
Provides regular status updates to project stakeholders.
Partner with our business customers to identify solutions that will improve business process to deliver superior benefits.
Requirements:
Four-year degree in computer science or related field or five years experience with IT analysis / programming.
Solid understanding of Business - Financial terminology.
Experience with analysis and development of financial applications.
Experience with Khalix for Windows programming language.
Experience with Application Framework development platform.
Solid understanding of Khalix Dimensions, Symbols and Hierarchy.
Experience with PERL script development.
Experience interfacing with Oracle Financials applications a plus.
General understanding of UNIX platform and commands.
Must have ability to quickly assimilate the business team’s terminology and understand their critical success factors.
Willingness to learn IT processes and software control methodology.
General understanding of Client-Server architecture.
Must be able to work in a team environment as well as individually.
Good verbal and oral communication skills.
