Americas has an exciting opportunity for a LAN Specialist II at our Houston, TX Headquarters location.

 

Job Summary:

The LAN Specialist II will be responsible for completion of helpdesk requests received by clients (employees) concerning pc hardware and software issues, network issues and other possible requests.  This individual will also be responsible for pc and printer hardware / software setups and deployment to network locations. 

 

ADDITIONAL Responsibilities:

Ø  Document I/T requests and resolution on ticketing system.

Ø  Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, requiring some research. 

Ø  On-Call duty of help desk phones after regular business hours, which may require some overtime.

Ø  Purchase equipment, record purchase orders, and organize documentation on such activity.

 

Required Skills / Abilities:

ü Knowledgeable in use of Microsoft Office Applications

ü Basic knowledge of all company systems

ü Ability to resolve users’ common network issues

ü Ability to work with Network Analyst to resolve more complex issues

ü Good organizational and documentation skills

ü Ability to set up network printers

 

Education / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in MIS or related field.

Minimum 2-3 years experience in a helpdesk support role.  

Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software configurations.
