LANDesk Systems Operator
Wawa’s Information Technology Department is recruiting for the position of LANDesk Systems Operator. This individual will be responsible for providing detailed administration, management, reporting and compliance leveraging LANDesk including Anti-Virus, patch management and process management solutions as well as detailed technical analysis, evaluations and implementation recommendations that reduce operating cost and improve service levels. Individual will also administer, support and maintain Wawa’s systems management environment across the enterprise and provides operational support for the LANDesk solution, coordinate and maintain vendor and service provider relationships, and ensure correct invoicing and contract adherence by vendors as appropriate.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Implement and mainstream service delivery and operating procedures; make recommendations on process improvements.
2. Interface with Engineers, Business Solutions, Architects and the Call Center to address operational issues.
3. Act as a secondary customer request interface for services. Evaluate and prioritize incoming service requests via Applix and/or vendor incident systems (if applicable).
4. Responsible for initial problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems. Escalate problems as required.
5. Leverage LANDesk to perform and maintain an asset inventory of hardware and software in addition to manage and monitor hardware devices.
6. Support team members with the installation and testing of all hardware and software.
7. Maintain Anti-Virus configuration, deployment, and monitoring with respect to developed Standard Operation Procedures.
8. Communicate with other Teams to ensure IT meets or exceeds defined SLA agreements.
9. Configure Microsoft and application level patches management for all devices managed by LANDesk.
10. Develop and maintain daily activities within LANDesk, including reporting and compliance verification, Anti-Virus remediation and patch management problem resolution.
11. Respond to all service interruptions or performance problems. Track all trouble tickets and ensure closure of problems. Consult with appropriate vendors and Wawa IT teams to resolve significant service disruptions.
12. Administer support and operational analytical reports on a weekly and monthly basis to provide a holistic view of the environment.
What you’ll need to be successful:
• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years of related work experience
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Positive attitude with a focus on Customer Service
• Excellent analytical abilities
• Ability to be on-call 24/7 when required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Operating systems
• Anti-Virus solutions experience, including remediation
• A+, Net+ and MCTS certifications preferred
• LANDesk certification(s) preferred
• Ability to travel (e.g., stores and training centers)
