POLICE COMMISSIONER
Nassau County municipality invites qualified individuals to submit resumes for the position of Police Commissioner.
This position is responsible for a very active, sophisticated Police Department with 52 Police Officers and over 40 civilian positions. Duties will include planning, organizing, supervising and directing the activities of all personnel within the Department. Extensive knowledge of criminal laws and procedures, criminal investigation methods, use of firearms and traffic control are essential. Qualified candidate must also possess the ability to train and discipline subordinates, maintain records and prepare reports and budgets, as well as demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
