About the Job

Job Description:
Provide Lean Six Sigma leadership consulting and training services for a Department of Defense client.


Key responsibilities:



  • Guide leadership / management teams during CPI/LSS deployment
  • Strategic guidance and assistance at an Enterprise-level in deploying CPI
  • CPI/LSS Black Belt and Green Belt course instruction, student mentoring and project coaching in a classroom environment including facilitation of  hands-on exercises and simulations
  • Create, customize, and modify existing Black Belt, Green Belt and Champion curricula to align with DOD body of knowledge and standards 
  •  Provide consultative support and best practice guidance on the deployment of CPI tools and methodologies across agency
  • Develop and deliver CPI standard operating procedures, processes, templates, examples, checklists, tools and policies to support the advancement of CPI framework and blueprint
  • Facilitate executive planning sessions

Minimum Requirements:



  • 5+ years experience as Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt
  • Direct experience with LSS deployment in the government industry 
  • Experience as a consultant advisor to senior leadership on CPI use, methods, tools, and overall business process improvement
  • Experience managing Lean Six Sigma project portfolios, leading Black/Green Belt training using LSS/TOC principles, tools and methodologies, and providing focused mentoring and coaching
  • Demonstrated mastery of Lean and Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints application
  • Experience developing Lean Six Sigma training curricula and associated CPI training materials
  • Dynamic approach to presentation/training at all levels of an organization with the ability to translate concepts into practical application
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and change management skills
  • Exceptional computer skills including operation of Microsoft Office and Minitab
  • College degree (BS/BA)
  • Willing to travel 50+%

Preferred:



  • Graduate degree (MBA/MS)
  • Military / Government contract experience
  • Experience with LSS deployment in government industries
  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense Agencies

Notes: 
Position may require relocation. Primary place of performance is located in the National Capital Area.
