BRAND NEW, PREMIER APARTMENT COMMUNITY
Richland Communities, an Award-Winning Management and Development Company, is currently seeking full -time Leasing Consultant for a brand new apartment community in Kent.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Leasing Consultant is the property's sales representative whose primary duties are to greet prospects, to professionally present the features and benefits of the apartment community, secure lease agreements with qualified persons, and address the needs of current residents. The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, motivated, with a positive and upbeat attitude.
A Leasing Consultant is very service oriented and strives to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable in their new home - highly developed customer service skills are a must. This individual must also be detail-oriented with great organizational skills, provide administrative support, while promoting excellent customer service skills. All those offered a position must be able to pass the company's pre-employment criminal history search.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leasing/Marketing
- Greet prospective residents; determine their needs and preferences, show the model/vacant apartments while presenting the many benefits/amenities that the apartment and community have to offer.
- Inspect model apartments and "market ready" units daily to ensure cleanliness.
- Answer incoming phone calls and persuade prospective residents to visit the property.
- Conduct marketing/outreach to local businesses to promote the property and increase visitor traffic.
- Maintain an awareness of market conditions and trends by conducting market surveys.
- Contribute ideas to the Community Manager for improving resident relations, daily operations and bottom -line results.
Administrative
- Prepare, organize, and file reports and other resident correspondence.
- Complete guest cards on all prospects, send thank you notes and perform visitor follow-up.
- Process all lease applications, assist with application verification and notify prospective residents of their application status.
- Prepare all new resident lease paperwork.
- Physically inspect the grounds, pick up litter and report any outstanding maintenance needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidate must be able to work weekends.
Skills
- Strong sales skills-ability to "close the deal" and ask for deposit.
- Very strong oral and written communication skills: public speaking skills, articulate and persuasive.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with others-must be a team player.
- Basic computer and phone skills including Microsoft Office-Outlook, Word, Excel a plus, and basic understanding of the management software program Real Page OneSite.
Experience
- At least two years of sales/management/or customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of human nature and what motivates different personality types.
