The Legal Technology Analyst will participate in all aspects of the Legal Department information technology-related initiatives and projects, including contract development, assembly and management systems, file, project and data management systems and assistance in process of inclusion of contracts and data in the system, document/contract coding and scanning systems, and other information technology systems and projects developed and/or maintained for the Legal Department, including systems and projects for the Arizona and Nevada offices of the Legal Department. The Legal Technology Analyst will serve on the project teams established by the Legal Department to develop, manage, implement and maintain the Legal Department information technology-related initiatives and systems. The Legal Technology Analyst will develop and provide training and support for legal technology systems used in the Legal Department, including any information technology-related initiatives and systems for the Arizona and Nevada offices of the Legal Department. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associate's Degree or equivalent required. Formal training in information technology systems and projects is preferred. Minimum of five years experience in information technology support for a law firm or corporate law department, or substantial formal legal training either as a paralegal, law student or lawyer. Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: - Strong skills in the development, management, implementation and support of projects, including the ability to drive projects to successful conclusion and implementation PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The primary functions of the Legal Technology Analyst will be as follows:
--Project management and analytical experience, including some or all of the following:
--General IT management, data management and security, and resource planning.
--Management and implementation of complex projects, including business process analysis and development, and workflow and resource planning.
--Understanding and maintenance of Microsoft Access and/or Microsoft SQL databases, and development and preparation of reports based on information in these databases.
--Software and hardware inventory procedures.
--Document management systems and contract templates.
--Practice management systems.
--Contract development and management, including the contract preparation, document assembly, and integration with relevant contract databases.
- Ability to understand, analyze and evaluate software applications, programs and systems as related to specifications for Legal Department information technology-related initiatives and/or projects.
- Ability to learn new software applications, programs and systems as well as develop training skills to train others in the Legal Department.
- Working knowledge of data security issues, analysis and remediation.
- Knowledge of document assembly, contracting and contract management processes and systems.
- Basic understanding and analysis of contracts (physician, non-physician, IT and others) and the component parts thereof for purposes of the development, implementation and maintenance of Legal Department information technology-related initiatives, including the significance of templates, boilerplate provisions and multiple alternatives for contract provisions.
- Strong communication, interpersonal relationship and problem solving skills, both with lawyers and non-lawyers.
- Strong knowledge of computers, scanning and coding applications.
- Ability to translate IT industry-standard language to end-users in a legal environment and to non-legal management and executives.
- Strong analytical skills to assist in determining legal process requirements, developing best practices in legal workflow, and proposing technology automation to enhance such legal processes to meet client needs.
- To actively participate in the management, development, implementation, execution, maintenance and/or support of the Legal Department information technology-related initiatives, including contract development, assembly and management systems, file, project and data management systems, and assistance in process of inclusion of contracts and data in the system, document/contract scanning and coding systems, and other information technology systems or applications purchased, developed and/or maintained for the Legal Department under direction of VP and Associate General counsel in the Arizona office.
- To serve on the legal technology team and other teams established to develop, manage, implement and maintain the Legal Department information technology-related initiatives, projects, systems and applications.
- To implement and provide information technology support for the Arizona and Nevada offices of the Legal Department, including oversight of the hardware and software needs of those offices.
- To assist in developing, implementing and providing training and support for information technology systems used in the Legal Department, including any information technology-related initiatives and systems for the Arizona and Nevada offices of the Legal Department.
- To suggest enhancements to data and work flow processes.
- To be able to engage in limited travel to in-state and out-of-state business meetings that may require over night stays as requested.
- Provide desktop support for applications used in the Legal Department.
