UW Medicine Information Technology Services department is a shared services organization, which supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of UW Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, UW School of Medicine, and UW Physicians Network. The IT Services organization is responsible for ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the mission of patient care, research and teaching.
Harborview Medicine has an outstanding opening for a Enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) Training Administrator.
Enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) Training Administrator: 1.In collaboration with UW Medicine Learning Management (LMS) Global Domain Administrator and key stakeholders, develop specifications for system configuration. *Develop expert user status in lms administration. *Configure the LMS for mission critical training requirements. *Develop and maintain documentation of lms system configuration. *Train users of LMS *Develop tools to evaluate needs of learners and authors and revise portal as appropriate. *Maintain roles on LMS to limit access to authorized participants. *Develop and execute test plans to validate system functions according to specifications.
2.Support user access to educational modules *Working with IT staff, maintain the employee database of the LMS to ensure timely access by all eligible learners and authors. *Working with Enterprise LMS team, respond to user questions about the LMS and engage in front line trouble shooting with learners. *Train appropriate scheduling staff to assist users with access, to maintain learner database, and to run reports. *Develop training materials and instruction sheets for learners.
3.Maintain the learner database *Track and record learner access to and completion of learning modules using the administrative functions within the LMS. *Report learner performance using pre-determined standards.
4.Define reporting requirements and develop reports *Develop or collaborate with a SQL developer to write custom reports. *Deploy reports to specified stakeholders. *Develop appropriate audit reports; monitor LMS usage and data validation.
Requirements: *BA or BS Degree (Degree in Education with IT focus, or Computer Science Degree with process/requirements focus) *Experience (minimum 4-5 years) configuring and administering a LMS for a large group of users 8Familiarty with content authoring tools *MS Excel and Word user *Familiar with formal ITS methods, including development of formal test scripts, testing, project management, change management, and system configuration management. *Proven communication skills with all levels of staff and management *Ability to work effectively in a team *Ability to assess user requirements and document *Ability to lead a project independently
Desired: Experience using SumTotal vendor Experience working in health care Experience with SQL

Workload and priorities will evolve as the LMS is implemented
LMS Program is moving from Medical Center to UW Medicine Enterprise. The analyst for this position will need to operate in an extremely complex and changing environment.
Much independent decision making is required, but will also need to exercise good judgment and appropriately collaborate with the LMS Team.
