LOAD COORDINATOR / DISPATCHER

Westin Trading, Inc. is an independent and established grocery trading company based in St. Louis, MO.

We are currently seeking an organized and effective person to coordinate and dispatch truckload and LTL shipments throughout the U.S. of grocery and grocery related products.

Previous experience in the transportation industry is required.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for:

* Negotiating freight rates with carriers.

* Verifying pickup and delivery information.

* Coordinating the "placement" of loads to ship to company's customers.

   (Load-Coordinator  /  Load Planner).
* Finding carriers using DAT and other internet tools.

* Scheduling pickup and delivery appointments.

* Dispatching drivers when necessary.

* Managing carrier contracts.

* And other freight related responsibilities.

Qualifications: 

* MUST have strong negotiation skills.

* MUST be able to multi-task effectively.

* MUST have excellent follow through and follow up.

* MUST be detail orientated.

* MUST be able to react quickly and re-prioritize loads instantaneously.

* MUST be able to coordinate and manage the shipments of multiple loads.
