About the Job

This position is currently available on all shifts. 


1st shift (7a-3:30p)


2nd (3p-11:30p)


3rd Shift (11p-7:30a)


 


 


Summary:


*Verify and implement orders prescribed for residents by licensed physician dentist optometrist or podiatrist to ensure that order is appropriate properly authorized and not contraindicated by other documented information


*Order from pharmacy safely administering and accurately recording medication and treatments administered


*Make nursing evaluations of acute and chronic concern with residents *Maintain adequate and accurate resident records


*Document any medical physical or behavioral problems that occurred during the shift in resident chart(s)


*Participate in resident team meetings


*Instructs unlicensed persons on aspects of resident care that are within the scope of practice


 


Qualifications: -


Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing (RN or LPN with Pharmacology, or LVN) and maintain current registration in the state of Ohio


Must also maintain current certification in CPR and first aid


Must have a sincere desire to work with individuals with mental retardation and other disabilities


 


Must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment


Must work every other weekend


 


Salary and Benefit Information:


LPN-$17.09; $1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts


RN-$19.73; $1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts
