Primary responsibilities include:
Ensures customer satisfaction in product performance and on-time delivery of testing and laboratory services as it relates to the new product development, cleanroom and controlled environment operations, and metrology and calibration services.
Designs and qualifies mechanical, electrical and environmental tests to support functional testing of cables and cable assemblies.
Maintains calibration program and calibration records for testing equipment.
- Manages and maintains controlled environments.
- Manages and maintains metrology lab-where applicable.
- Identifies and promotes understanding and utilization of new technologies, materials, equipment, and test methods. Ensures knowledge is continually applied to enhance company and department capabilities.
- Utilizes formal review system to ensure department/company goals are met.
- Manages technical staff consisting of engineers, technicians, technical associates.
- Provides technical support to inspection.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Five or more years of management experience.
- Strong materials or mechanical engineering background. ME, Materials Engineering or related degree required.
- Previous work in an ISO- and FDA-regulated facility.
- Experience in engineering and manufacturing support in order to plan, establish and coordinate project support activities.
- Previous management experience.
- BS in science, engineering, manufacturing or technical discipline, CQE, or equivalent experience.
- Strong metrology background.
- Calibration management experience.
- Cleanroom management and environmental control experience.
- Previous project management experience.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant new technologies, materials, equipment, and processes. Applies knowledge to continually enhance TE capabilities.
- Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean principles preferred
