We are looking to fill an immediate need for a Lab Technician with our client, a leader in the field of Biotechnology. The focus of their research is to develop technology that will enable farmers to grow more crops by applying biotechnology, genomics, and molecular breeding technology to herbicides and seeds. In this role, the candidate’s duties will include DNA extraction, receiving of samples, tracking of samples throughout lab processes, and operating high throughput genotyping equipment. The selected candidate will assist in the day to day planning and managing the extraction work load in a team based environment.

Required:

·                    B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other Biological Science discipline.

·                    1 year work experience with in a molecular biology lab performing DNA extractions and running PCR.

·                    Familiarity with Microsoft Office software packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

·                    Attention to detail and meticulous data documentation is essential to this role. The successful candidate must have excellent written communication, data documentation, and oral presentation skills.
