Lab Technician

Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Lab Technician. This position is responsible for a wide range of laboratory testing according to ASTM and SW846 methods. 12 hour rotating shift (3 days on/4 days off). Work hours are 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., rotating from day to night shift.

Responsibilities

• Sample preparation and analysis for Recycled solvents as well as testing Hazardous waste for fuel blending. Analytical methods include GC/ECD for PCB’s, Bomb Calorimetry, titration for total chlorine, flash point, viscometry, density measurement, pH, Karl Fisher water analysis, and VOC and HVOC analysis.
• Input of data from analysis into lab information system database. Completion of all logs and records related to analysis for traceability.

Requirements

• College degree in Chemistry preferred or experience in the field of chemical analysis required
