Lab Technician – Kansas City, KS

Manufacturing Plant seeks a safety-oriented individual who has good team skills.  The plant manufactures silicate products and derivatives for a host of industrial applications.  We have an immediate need for a Lab Technician at our plant site in Kansas City, KS, to perform process and quality testing.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Routing process & quality control testing, including wet chemical analysis, instrument analysis, and interpretation of data.

·         Issuing reports, record and report results.

·         Able to perform non-routine physical and chemical testing and other projects with minimal supervision.

·         Conduct special projects related to quality issues or as instructed by management.

·         Perform housekeeping work as required.

·         Repair equipment.

·         Any other assignments which they are trained to do and can do safely.

Job Requirements:

·         Bachelors Degree in the Sciences (Chemistry preferred or Physics or Biology)

·         At least one year of laboratory experience as an analyst.

·         Working knowledge of wet chemistry and instrumental method analysis.

·         Computer skills in Microsoft Office, SAP and Microsoft Outlook preferred.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
