Lab Technician
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Effective maintenance of laboratory, stock and track samples, ingredients, small-wares/equipment, and general housekeeping relating to the R&D lab areas
Carry out routine tasks accurately and follow instructions
Conduct and prepare beverage samples for product evaluation including shelf life, bench-top, and production
Conduct analytical tests on beverage samples and record data; receive and ship samples, submit samples for analysis. Assist in the development of bench-top formulation and microthermic. Assist in product guidance testing. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Basic food laboratory experience 3 years
- Equipment or product development 1 year
- Ability to organize information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
- Laboratory experimentation skills including measurement, reporting and analysis
- Ability to use of laboratory instrumentation and analytical equipment
- Knowledge of scientific principles, food microbiology, engineering
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Project
