Lab Technologist - Histology

In this role in the Histology department, the Lab Technologist will be responsible for:

• Performing all routine embedding, cutting and staining of surgical specimens, including frozen sections and special stains. 


• Performing grossing of small biopsy specimens.

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required. 


•  Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Basic Science or related field preferred. 


•  Possession of a New York State Education Department (NYSED) license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (or as appropriate to area of assignment) is required.


• Minimum of one (1) year work experience and/or training specific to the work being done in the area noted above is required.
