Labor Manager - Miami, FL

Nalco has an opening for a Labor Manager in our Water and Process Services Group located in Miami, FL.  The Labor Manager will primarily be responsible for planning and supervising the work of Water Hygiene Services Laborers and contract laborers to provide services to clean and disinfect cooling towers and components for external customers within the assigned geographic area.   
 
Other Responsibilities include:
  • Plans and coordinates water hygiene services to clean and disinfect cooling towers and their components to customers in an assigned geographic territory

  • Supervises employees and contract laborers who operate pressure washing equipment, pressure washers, wet vacuums, ladders and safety equipment

  • Leads and directs a group of 2 or more employees at each customer work site to ensure smooth operations and workflow

  • Familiarizes employees with established policies, procedures, rules and regulations

  • Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with established safety procedures, including training in the use of personal protective equipment, respiratory fit, permit required confined space entry, fall protection, lockout/tag-out, and hazardous materials

  • Trains and instructs employees in the proper use of equipment

  • Provides documentation for all work and services

  • Performs same duties as Water Hygiene Services Laborers as needed

  • May be required to perform the work of the Water Hygiene Services Laborer position, requiring the ability to climb and work on ladders and haul equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

 


 


The minimum qualifications the candidate will have include:  
  • Associate's degree or the equivalent plus 2-4 years of related work experience in a customer service position

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise the work of others and to coordinate and manage projects

  • General mechanical skills and abilities required

  • Knowledge and experience with HVAC systems; licensing as HVAC technician preferred

  • Must meet minimum training requirements for personal protective equipment, respiratory fit, permit required confined space entry, fall protection, lockout/tag-out and hazardous materials

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends or holidays as needed
