We are seeking a Lab Animal Supervisor responsible for all aspects of the animal facility including animal production and shipment, animal care and facility maintenance.  .  Provides oversight and conducts contract research in conjunction with the Study Director responsible for Contract Research Services.  Supervises three animal care technicians who conduct all aspects of care, maintenance, production, shipping and studies

Specific Duties will include:

Supervises animal care duties including routine animal care, facility maintenance, and sanitizing and disinfecting animal cages, rooms and corridors.

* Schedules, oversees, and performs (when needed) In Vivo duties including the conduct of studies and clinical observations.

* Performs administrative duties including ordering animal care supplies and receiving supplies.

* Drafts and reviews SOPs for the animal facility program.

* Facilitates and manages training for In Vivo studies.

Qualifications/Experience Needed

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level.

2-5 years of relevant experience and/or training.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Excel Microsoft Word and PowerPoint proficiency skills
