Provides technical support for consumables and instrumentation performs training of equipment at the customer site and at the corporate level as requested. Travel required up to 25% and occasionally on short notice.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
§ Support the sales team with equipment demonstrations and installations.
§ Provide phone support and troubleshooting for customers, sales team, customer service and channel partners.
§ Provide feedback, expertise and field information on new product development and launches.
§ Provide training to customers during installation and demonstrations.
§ Assist the sales organization with product knowledge and equipment expertise.
§ Proven communication skills.
§ Willingness to travel 25% of the time, occasionally on short notice.
§ Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
§ Ability to work within a chemical environment with a good understanding of reagent optimization.
§ Ability to troubleshoot Thermo Fisher AP products
§ Ability to lift or move 50 pounds.
§ Experience in routine histology, cytology or clinical laboratory.
§ Ability to troubleshoot and correct basic to complex issues with instruments.
§ Good Understanding of Computers and functionality.
§ Good Organization skills.
§ Must be a team player and have the ability to write clear understandable documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS / Minimum Requirement:
HT-ASCP Certified Histologist with a minimum of 5 yrs. Experience in Histology or AA/BS in clinical laboratory science, biomedical instrumentation, or related field.
Minimum 5 yrs lab experience with thorough knowledge of Anatomical Pathology
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
AA/BS Degree /prior laboratory experience or relevant combined experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Laboratory, reference laboratory, industrial sites, agricultural sites, veterinary facilities, research facilities.
