The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Degreed Laboratory Supervisor / Quality Control Supervisor for a Large Dairy Manufacturing Facility located in VA.
Job Responsibilities:
u Must exhibit working knowledge of in-plant and regulatory audits and inspection, sampling and testing programs required, operations of equipment and plant, etc.
u Lead, Motivate, and Develop assigned lab team.
u Audit production processes daily such as weight controls, sanitation issues, Standard Operating Procedures, sanitary preventative maintenance programs, etc.
u Assist in overseeing Quality programs such as but not limited to: cleaning and sanitation; plant inspections; line tear downs; inspections of charts; cleaning chemical audits; dairy chill water programs; environmental testing; auditing enzyme and vitamin additions in plants.
u Instrumental in the implementation of Statistical Process Control, Total Quality Management, Lab Information Management System and quality parts of Warehouse Management System to all lab personnel and in some instances – on the plant floor.
u Must not only have troubleshooting skills, but also be able to lead in problem resolution in order to ensure that all products and processes are continuously improving and done in only the most stringent sanitary conditions.
u Administrative duties required such as the auditing and release of held products on the Warehouse Management System, maintaining and preparing daily quality records, laboratory inventory and ordering, etc.
u Responsible for the training of Quality technicians and ensuring that they comply with all regulatory specifications for the testing they are performing.
u Assist Quality and Plant Management in ensuring compliance to GMP’s, SOP’s, housekeeping, sanitation standards and product handling.
u Assists in the standardization of product batches in order to meet product specifications.
u Will assist in ensuring all shifts are covered due to vacation or unannounced absenteeism by one of the laboratory technicians.
u Will assist in the oversight of the finished product hold procedure as well as reclaimed product procedures to ensure they are being handled properly and in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified Candidates for the Laboratory Supervisor / Quality Control Supervisor position MUST HAVE a 4-Year BS Degree with at least 2-5 years of current Quality / Laboratory Supervisory experience from within a Food, Beverage or Dairy Manufacturing environment.
