Position Description

Laboratory Supervisor - Flow 3rd Shift

Brentwood, TN 37027

This position assigns, oversees, and reviews the work of the employees in the Flow department (2nd shift). Directs all phases of work, quality, service, and costs; and performs tests or assays as required. Other duties include but are not limited to:

Providing day to day supervision of testing personnel and is accessible to testing personnel at all times to resolve technical problems in accordance with policies and procedures established by the laboratory director and manager.

Monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.

Delegating work in the department so that all tests are completed, results entered and verified in the established time and the test system is properly functioning on a daily basis.

Assisting in training new laboratory personnel, adapting them to accepted procedures in the laboratory.



Normally requires a B.S./B.A. Degree w/1-3 years of experience. Must meet all State & Local licensing requirements where the laboratory is located and must meet CLIA requirements.

Must have Supervisors license.
