The Laboratory Technologist/Research Associate (position based on experience) is under the direction of senior research staff and responsible for the development and validation of new assays utilizing HPLC, GCMS, ELISA, Western Blot, PCR and electrophoresis technologies. This position will also perform routine sample testing for assays using standard analytical instruments which require training in instrumentation such as ICP-MS and GFAA. The Technologist/Associate will be responsible for the completion of production work alongside research projects. Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis, improves existing analytical methodologies, and develops new testing methods. Position analyzes data and presents results to senior research staff. Position also works on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of situation or data requires the ability to exercise judgment and determine appropriate action. B.S. or M.S. degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or related disciplines required.
