Innovative Energy Systems is a privately owned company with locations in New York in Vermont.  We specialize in the recovery of methane gas from landfills for the purpose of creating profitable and environmental benefits by using the landfill gas as an alternative energy source. Innovative Energy Systems offers full service design, engineering, and manufacturing in all aspects of methane gas recovery for the subsequent use in landfill gas to electricity plants.  We are seeking a LANDFILL GAS TECHNICIAN for our plants in Eastern New York and Northern Vermont. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• General understanding of landfill gas environmental regulations and health and safety issues
  
• Basic computer skills
  
• Mechanical and technical aptitude
  
• Experience with landfill gas instrumentation and wellfield tuning activities preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Properly operate and maintain gas collection system on a timely and cost- effective basis in order to achieve maximum performance standards
  
• Monthly wellfield monitoring
  
• Liquid level measurements in gas extraction wells
  
• Pneumatic pump and well cleaning and maintenance
  
• Routine blower and flare operations
  
• Landfill Gas condensate management system maintenance
  
• Downloading of wellfield monitoring data verification of NSPS compliance
  
• Help keep plant and grounds neat and organized
  
• Assist with wellfield construction 
  
• Be available for on call
