One of the most respected private consulting engineering firms in the U.S. is looking for a Solid Waste and Landfill Practice Leader to continue to grow their practice. We have a large backlog of projects including waste disposal, land fill, solid waste, waste transfer stations, contamination assessment, remediation, due diligence, and environmental regulation consulting. You will have complete responsibility to organize and supervise our staff of professionals in 5 offices in the region conducting environmental investigations; define client objectives and project/task requirements/constraints (including budget, regulatory, schedule and technological constraints); scope, organize, perform, and deliver projects; assessment and compliance; requirements of the risk management program; clarify and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications, field observation and monitoring, construction quality testing, certification-of-compliance, and documentation; and prepare, sign and seal construction certification reports. You’ll need 10+ years experience in design & certifying solid waste disposal facilities, monitoring, testing, documentation, and certification of soils and geosynthetics liner and cover systems; computer skills; experience in environmental regulations, project management of CERCLA and RCRA projects, Phase I and II environmental site assessments; and strong client relationship skills.. Required Skills: BS Civil Engineering and a P.E. You will be an experienced design lead and project manager (schedules & budgets), including QA/QC and construction management services. Five years in waste disposal, land fill, solid waste, waste transfer stations, contamination assessment, remediation, due diligence, and environmental regulation consulting. You will have complete responsibility to organize and supervise professionals conducting environmental investigations; define client objectives and project/task requirements/constraints (including budget, regulatory, schedule and technological constraints); scope, organize, perform, and deliver several small to moderate projects; complete assessment of environmental regulation compliance; comply with requirements of the risk management program; provide clarification and interpretation of construction drawings and technical specifications, field observation and monitoring, construction quality testing, certification-of-compliance, and documentation; and prepare, sign and seal construction certification reports.
