In this position you will be responsible for all activities that ensure execution of headquarter sales and merchandising plans within assigned territory. This territory consists of high volume chain grocers and mass merchandiser customers. Activities include but are not limited to selling, ensuring 100% distribution on all customer authorized Hershey Items, merchandising (to include building displays, packing out product, replenishing permanent secondary displays), and maintaining salability of all Hershey items.

• Retail Execution of the Company Sales Plan for each retailer in the assigned territory. Selling and maintaining distribution of Hershey products in the assigned territory. Ensuring expected retail execution of Company and Customer Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans. Retail Sales Reps maintain a high frequency of calls per cycle, per retailer, and leverage the strong working relationships with retail decision makers; result in customer support of sales and merchandising plans with all assigned accounts.
• Provide merchandising assistance to customers by building displays, negotiating placement and replenishing permanent secondary displays, and using point of sale materials effectively. Product rotation and merchandising to ensure salability of Hershey products in the assigned territory.
• Provide solutions to customers through analysis of customers and market wide sales data. functions within the assigned territory
• Develop customized sales presentations utilizing basic Microsoft office products
• Effectively perform the administrative aspects of the field sales position.

 

Basic Skills/Experience
• Valid driver's license with no sanctions
• Flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage
• Ability to drive long distances to make multiple sales calls on a daily basis
• Ability to work occasional weekends and overnight stays as required by the territory.
• Requires the ability to lift 10-50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
• Intermediate computer skills
• Analog phone line for home office

• Candidate must reside within Pueblo, CO.

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience selling in high volume environments
• CPG or related experience
• Experience with Chain Grocers or Mass Merchandisers in any capacity
