Job Description - Lead ASP / SQL Developer / Programmer

BestMark is looking for an experienced ASP / SQL developer to maintain and extend a large web application environment. The lead ASP / SQL Developer will identify enterprise-wide performance needs, and works to effectively develop, deploy, and manage programs and processes that enhance capabilities at the enterprise and client levels. Candidates for this position should be skilled and experienced in driving all stages of the development process - from layout/design of an application to the data model and performance through development and testing.

Required Technical Skills / Experience

• ASP, VB Script 5+years


• VB.NET


• Microsoft SQL server


• T-SQL (Preferred)


• VB


• IIS – Internet Information Services (Preferred)


• Data modeling, Design / Architecture (tables/indexing, writing stored procedures).


• Application / Software Testing and Implementation


• Database performance diagnostics / tuning.


• Advanced data warehousing / reporting


• Advanced web reporting skills - dashboards, etc (Preferred)


• Data migration projects and technologies.


• Business Analyst Skills (Requirements Gathering, Application Design: Defining / documenting achievable project objectives, timelines, expected business outcomes and project deliverables.


• Building and maintaining SQL scripts in Microsoft SQL Server


• Building and maintaining production SQL jobs


• Building and maintaining complex SQL queries for data analysis and data extract.
