This Bridgewater NJ based position will support development and commercialization of new innovations as part of our Brand and Consumer team within our AI Paper Solutions business.  This forward-looking, Technical Customer Service role will be entrepreneurial and customer-focused to develop and implement solutions that enable our customers to introduce innovative, sustainable packaging products into the market.


 


 


What we offer


 
Influence, create and implement plans to take ideas from development to commercialization
Coordinate or conduct research and support development across several chemistries / technologies\: Natural/synthetic polymers, polymeric microspheres, coatings
Create, implement and analyze Design of Experiments to optimize formulas and adhesive performance within lab or production scale applications
Investigate and validate new application equipment
Lead lab to production scale-up of new products supporting process development (ie. P-FMEA)
Coordinate or conduct patent reviews and submissions
Build performance and value/cost models
Create lab and production size prototype constructions and packages
Create Pre-Trial and Data Collection Plans to effectively execute on-site customer trials
Document Trial and Project Report-Outs
Complete documentation for new test procedures, products and processes
Collaborate internally and externally within North America and globally on all project phases from research and development to commercialization
Liaison with Analytical Science, Regulatory, Legal, Purchasing, Supply Chain and 3rd Party teams
Leads by example in safety and meets all site requirements

Qualification:

Who we are looking for


 
Full-Time Salary Position
Chemistry, Materials Science, ChE, or relevant Engineering degree required
5-10 years of experience in related field – adhesives, packaging, etc
Lean Six Sigma and Project Management experience
Packaging and prototyping experience a plus
Creativity, flexibility, adaptability.  Able to manage ambiguity.
Ability to multi-task and deliver accurate results in short timeframes
Strong mechanical and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Able to build and maintain relationships with key customer contacts
MS Word, Excel, Power Point and preferably SAP, Planview, etc
Travel up to approximately 30%
