We are currently recruiting for the following position at our corporate headquarters in Belcamp, Maryland.

 

Lead DBA – Oracle E-Business Suite 

Summary:

 

Under general supervision, the EBS Database Administrator DBA / Team Leader will perform various tasks related to database administration, database applications, and data warehouse design, creation, and support. Additionally, this person is responsible to lead a global team of DBA’s. 

 

US Citizenship is required for this position.  An active Security Clearance is higly preferred.

 

Oracle e-Business Suite Responsibilities:

Responsible to implement and manage an e-Business Suite environment.  To do so, the Oracle DBA requires additional expertise beyond that of an Oracle DBA in a traditional, non e-Business Suite environment.  The Oracle Technology Stack which comprises SafeNet’s e-Business Suite environment includes: 10g database, the 10g Oracle Application Server, Oracle Portal, Single Sign On, Oracle Internet Directory, and Oracle Forms and Reports.

Database administration in a global e-Business Suite implementation includes:

·        Working with System Administrators and Application Development teams:

o       To install the e-Business Suite technology stack: Oracle database, Oracle Application Server, e-Business Suite modules

o       Applying e-Business Suite patches

o       e-Business Suite CLONING

o       Applying database patches

o       Configuring automated Backup / Recovery processes

o       Scripting to start/stop all components across the database and application tiers

o       Oracle 10g database management and administration

o       Oracle Applications System Administration

o       Database and application tuning

o       Configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager to monitor and manage the e-Business Suite environment

o       Custom development of Oracle Forms and Reports to integrate with the e-Business Suite applications

o       Problem isolation and resolution  

o       Interacting with Oracle via their formal SR process in order to secure assistance and solutions for problems which are beyond our internal capabilities to solve

o       Supporting Oracle Applications project teams

o       Providing DBA support from development and testing through the production implementation.

o       Performing Oracle Applications DBA tasks included installing the Oracle e-Business Suite technology stack, applying e-Business Suite and database patches, general database support and Linux support.

 

Team Lead Responsibilities

·        Provide supervision to DBAs

 

 

Qualification Requirements:

 

Education:   

Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or equivalent work experience.

 

Experience:

Two+ years of hands-on experience supporting Oracles E-Business Suite in a production environment.

Three years developing and supporting applications in SQL Server. 

Two years of SQL Server or Oracle database administration.

Experience designing, creating, populating, and supporting a data warehouse.

ERP applications implementation and support experience

Experience working with remote teams

 

Skills:

General knowledge of database administration, programming and systems analysis procedures.

Data Warehousing and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes.

SQL Programming

Data modeling and performance tuning.

Business systems knowledge a plus (i.e. Financials, HR, supply chain, manufacturing).

Good verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to manage stress and pressure inherent to application development, implementation, and support.

Able to identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems in a production controlled environment.

Ability to work independently and as a team member
