Lead Diagnostic Medical Sonography Technologist In this role, you will provide guidance and assistance to staff performing ultrasound examinations and other related technologies. Duties include preparing work schedules to assure that staff are available for patient appointments; assuring that staff explains ultrasound procedures or other examination technologies to patients; providing training and guidance to assure that equipment is properly and safely operated; and assisting staff to confirm that images meet the requirements of the radiologists. Other duties include making arrangements for contractor maintenance and repair of the equipment; ordering equipment, film, supplies, and assuring that inventories are properly managed; reviewing and submitting reports showing the number and type of examinations conducted by the department; performing duties as a diagnostic medical sonagrapher as required; and performing other related duties as directed. • At least three years of experience as a sonographer
• A high school diploma or GED
• Completion of an ARDMS accredited program or equivalent in ultrasound technology
• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in abdomen and/or OB/GYN; additional certifications such as breast or vascular preferred
• CPR certification
• The ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 20-45 minutes at a time
• The ability to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
