Role Summary/Purpose The Lead Engineer – Smart Grid Software will be on-site at GE Energy in Atlanta, working for an on-site Senior Engineer / team Lead. In this role you will facilitate and perform technical integration of GE Fanuc Products with GE Energy Products to produce Smart Grid applications in the Transmission, Distribution and Demand spaces.
Essential Responsibilities Provide on-site presence for GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms working in a collaborative environment with GE Energy engineers Develop Smart Grid applications, data models and interfaces to and from GE Energy applications Develop subsystem designs and data models Develop C# / C++ code development on Microsoft Platforms and in a cross-platform environment
Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other Minimum 1 year experience in at least 2 disciplines, including but not limited to application architecture, application management, application development, SOA, database design Minimum 3 years structured software development experience in C# and C++ Minimum 1 year domain experience - Energy systems, T&D / power gen systems, Electrical distribution protocols and standards or background & schooling in electrical engineering / physical sciences Minimum 1 year experience in Software Development using Microsoft Visual Studio / Development tools. Cross platform development experience helpfulMinimum 1 year experience in problem solving, data structures and algorithms ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:Ability and availability to travel throughout the United States Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work.
