PURPOSE OF JOB:


 


The NA AFTD Channel Marketing Specialist will participate in the development and execution of the channel marketing plans for the Division in a manner that achieves planned short and long term sales and profit contribution objectives while being consistent with the Company’s goals and policies.


 


PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES/DUTIES:


 


Channel Management


·        Manage and communicate AFTD Marketing Programs across both Ohio and Mpls locations, including Distributor Incentive, Marketing Allowance, TBYB, GES, Demonstration unit orders, Planning Mate, etc.


·        Manage AFTD GDAP process across the entire division including distributor setup, change management, and termination.


·        Develop and manage Sales Team and Distributor tools across the division, including sales distributor dashboard.


 


Channel Marketing


·        Research, analyze, and develop recommendations for NA channel & incentive programs.  Coordinate and implement approved channel & incentive programs.


·        Evaluate and analyze promotions and incentive programs and develop appropriate tools and reports to communicate results of said programs.


·        Manage outbound (sales & distributor) communications for AFTD in concert with Communications.


·        Source and manage outside resources as necessary in support of promotional programs. 


·        Work with Advertising to create collateral support materials.


·        Manage ongoing development and coordination of GEDI Extranet as a communication tool for departmental program, pricing, promotions and public relations.


 


Pricing


·        Manage divisional standard discount, contract pricing, and program deviations within the established guidelines.


·        Work cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Customer Service, and Pricing to ensure pricing implementation and consistency to meet divisional profitability objectives.


·        Development and communication of all pricing policies, processes, and publications (price books, one-time contracts, and cross-channel discount strategy).


·        Manage and communicate AFTD divisional price books on an annual basis.   Work with product marketing managers and the pricing department to ensure part number accuracy and proper loading of prices into the system.  In addition, ensure timely communication to distribution of annual price changes.


·        Manage, track, and analyze customer-specific pricing programs.  Maintain a database of customer-specific pricing and contracts.  Develop analysis and reporting mechanism to monitor contract compliance and to identify parts being sold below cost.


·        Analyze channel-pricing structure across AFTD Channels, track competitive pricing with distribution and market pricing, and develop recommendations for continuous improvements to pricing structure.  Develop and maintain a competitive pricing/program database.  Assist in defining and designing tools to capture and analyze competitive pricing and promotional activity. 


 


Marketing Analysis


·        Track, analyze, and report performance of all Channel Marketing programs.


·        Manage competitive pricing database and provide competitive analysis as needed, working in conjunction with Product Marketing.


·        Other duties as assigned.


 


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


·        4 year Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.


·        3+ years successful marketing product management, market research, distributor development, or field sales.


·        Ability to develop, query, and maintain databases across various database platforms.  Must be familiar with MS Access, Impromptu and/or Power Play.


·        Experience working with MS Office Software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).


·        Proven aptitude to learn or use computer support tools.


·        Strong interpersonal and communications skills.


·        Evidence of effective problem solving and decision making skills.


·        Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.


·        Willingness to travel.


 


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:


·        Two or more year’s analytical experience working with databases, including the retrieval and reporting of data and knowledge of the development of database systems.


·        Previous experience working with sales, marketing and distribution channels.


·        Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels both within and outside of Graco.


·        Knowledge of Graco policies and procedures.
