Requirements
The position requires a recognized technical expert in the IP/MPLS technical discipline including related routing protocols who is able to analyze complex technical network problems, determine root cause, develop innovative solutions, and lead an advanced technical support team to resolve technology-specific problems in AT&Ts global IP/MPLS network infrastructure. The high level of technical expertise required by this position must be accompanied by the proven ability to contribute technical innovation in the area of large scale IP/MPLS networks as growth of ATTs global network continually pushes the limits of the current technology -- a proven ability to influence technology and develop standards is needed. The candidate is expected to provide technical leadership and advice to ensure all new technologies are evaluated, developed, tested, deployed, flawlessly implemented, and monitored. Where gaps in the support of new technologies exist, develop alternative methods to prevent delays in the delivery of new features to the market. Consult with members of multiple teams, identify various risk factors, and make recommendations as to the potential trade-offs to senior executives.
Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills:
The candidate must be extremely knowledgeable of AT&Ts network architecture. A significant level of autonomy to independently assess complex network problems and recommend alternative solutions to executive management, Labs, and enterprise customers is required. A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science is required.

The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate highly technical concepts to a wide-ranging audience.
