Join a stable and growing company as a Lead Oracle Middleware Engineer. This individual will supervise staff and equipment supporting all corporate middle tier and database systems.
Essential Duties:
Formulate and participate in long term projects with other Database Administrators, and Application Administrators.
Train and supervise contracted staff.
Support all Oracle Infrastructure core applications working and off-hours availability.
Support all Oracle Infrastructure core applications for change management and production control.
Report metrics related to database / application auditing and security.
Fulfill a lead functional role for Oracle Application Server products, including, but not limited to RAC, BPEL, ESB, OC4J, Collaboration, OID, SSO, Portal.
Assist business analysts in the definition of technical requirements for submittal to the engineering teams.
Monitor and report resource utilization on all Oracle systems.
Participate in weekly on-call rotation with other functional Oracle administrators.
Participate in production deploys, and with disaster recovery exercises.
Participate in data modeling activities with data architects to produce high quality reports and analysis
Communicate effectively and efficiently with other staff members and with Company clients.
Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions regarding departmental projects.
Required Skills:
6+ years IT experience.
Must have minimum of 3 years experience in Operational Administration of one or more of the following products:
JBOSS
Oracle Application Server 10g
Oracle Application Server – SOA Suite (BPEL / ESB)
Combined experience in an OpenSource environment running at minimum Apache web servers with Tomcat hosted Java container applications
Must have been in an on-call rotation providing 24/7 support of server systems
Development experience is a plus, but is secondary to operational administration
Must have experience in a Unix environment – prefer Linux experience
