Lead Plasma Processor

LEAD PLASMA PROCESSOR

Touching lives with healing and hope - it's the end result of our efforts at Talecris Plasma Resources. We have an opportunity for a Lead Plasma Processor at our Waukegan Plasma Donor Center.

You will perform plasma screening and processing at the expert level and act as the area lead. You will give immediate feedback and technical assistance to staff and assist with scheduling in donor processing area; lead, direct breaks/lunches, and direct donor flow; participate in the interview process of new hires; provide input into performance appraisals and participate in employee performance counseling as requested; collect/process/record donor samples for processing, diagnostic testing and freezing/shipment of bad product; ensure donor confidentiality; learn/maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedure Manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal company procedures; maintain supplies; and cross train and work in other areas to ensure efficient center operations.

Requires a High school diploma or GED; designated trainer, CPR and Plasma Processor certifications; and a minimum 2 years of related experience (TPR and/or industry) performing plasma processing and related responsibilities with demonstrated skills to handle difficult situations. Medical or Lab Assistant and secondary area certifications preferred.
