Job Summary

 

We are currently hiring for our Development team in an effort to staff up as we plan a new development effort. We are looking for a full time Lead Software Development Engineer who will primarily be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our enterprise point of sale systems, web presence, and back office systems.

 

Daily activities may include the following and are in particular order of importance:  system level software development, resolve application errors or issues, provide timeline updates to project manager, provide application support to internal staff.  Experience in the Scrum product development lifecycle is preferred but experience with other standard industry methodologies is required including the gathering of requirements, writing technical design specifications, developing code, unit testing and deploying the final solution.  Also, a “can-do” attitude is a must.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Minimum of 8 years system level development experience using VB.NET, C#, ASP, ASP.NET, algorithms, assembly, database, protocols, etc
  • Provide technical feedback to Company Execs for proposed projects
  • Provide time estimates for proposed projects
  • Mentor less experienced developers
  • Work on the architectural review team with the VP of Technology to assure that all projects remain within the SPI architecture
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Databases
  • Extensive experience using T-SQL to design queries and stored procedures
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Experience working with version control software such as Source Safe or VSTS, SVN, CVS
  • Experience developing web services, n-tiered applications, and web applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate with Technology Operations staff on issues

 

Knowledge / Experience

 

  • BS in Computer Science or experience equivalent
  • 4 or more years of ASP.NET/C# experience is preferred
  • E-Commerce experience is preferred
