Successful medical communications agency with locations in NJ & PA is looking for an experienced Sr./Lead Medical Publications Writer to join their team.  Oncology therapeutic area expertise desirable.

Responsibilities:

·         Serve as lead/prepare high-quality manuscript drafts (abstracts, posters, manuscripts, slides) with direction provided by company's Medical Directors, external authors, and pharmaceutical clients.

·         Revise manuscript drafts with internal company & client/author feedback.

·         Conduct literature searches and background research for individual projects.

·         Assist in development of new business opportunities and participate in new business presentations.

·         Provide project management services and client liaison as necessary for company clients.

Qualifications:

• Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO) preferred
• 3-plus years Professional medical writing experience for a medical communication agency or pharmaceutical co.
• Detail-oriented, team-player
• Expertise in Oncology therapeutic area required
• Excellent written & interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Proficient in use of Microsoft software programs
