As part of the eCommerce Systems Engineering Team you will have the opportunity to work with the latest hardware technologies, operating systems, databases and web technologies. The essential function will be working closely with interdepartmental groups of engineers with focus on deployment and support of the Revenue Cycle Management product and core systems services. The ideal candidate will have a solid working knowledge of Windows 2000/2003, VMWare, Unix (HP-UX, RHEL preferred) and Storage Area Networking, Key responsibilities include:· System maintenance, performance monitoring and tuning, designing procedures for benchmarking and ensuring information security. Working in cross-functional project teams that include Design, Development, Quality Assurance, and Application Support. Configuration and maintenance of production, staging environments, and storage area network. Communicate directly with team members/end users to diagnose and resolve issues. Coordinate and perform infrastructure and application upgrades. Work with other team members to continually improve our delivery and processes. Participate in off-hours beeper rotation and perform off-hours services. Limited travel may be required. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors Degree in CS or EE or relevant experience.7 years hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer with extensive hands-on experience.7 years hands-on experience with Storage Area Networks.5 years hands-on experience with VMWare .5 years experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003.5 years experience with Unix.Demonstrated technical and project leadership skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work. Desired Characteristics Experience with HP-UX and RHEL.Experience with Brocade SAN switches and HP EVA technologies.Organized with ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.Knowledge of Healthcare information security best practices including HIPPA and EHNAC.·Industry standard certification. |
