| Job Summary: | Supports the daily operation of the VNA Child Care and Family Resource Center by providing childcare services and following program policy and procedure. Instructs and assists children in gaining proficiency in the areas of language, motor, social, cognitive and self-help skills through developmentally appropriate activities and environments. Under the general supervision of the Director or designee, VNA Child Care and Family Resource Center and direct supervision of the Program Manager and within established policies and procedures, the incumbent performs the following functions: Instruct and assist children in gaining proficiency in the areas of language, motor, social, cognitive and self-help skills through developmentally appropriate activities. Establish and maintain a developmentally appropriate environment. Under the direction of the Program Manager, supervises the daily activity of the Associate Teachers and Child Care Assistants. Recommend personnel actions related to hiring, employee relations, and performance to Director or designee. In conjunction with the Program Manager, completes performance reviews for the Associate Teachers and Child Care Assistants. Support the Director, Program Manager, and/or designee in long-range planning with regard to curriculum, the program's philosophy, and goals. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: 12 credits in ECE and 3 years' experience with relevant and appropriate age group OR, Associate's degree in ECE or related Associate's degree with minimum of 12 ECE credits and one year experience. Lead Teachers hired on or after September 1, 2005 must have an Associate's degree in ECE or related Associate's degree with a minimum of 12 ECE credits and one (1) year experience. All Lead Teacher 1 must attain a minimum of an Associate's degree in ECE or related degree with 12 ECE credits in ECE, in accordance with Individual Professional Development Plan. Licensure/Certification: First Aid and CPR Certification required. Minimum NH Professional Credential Lead Teacher Level 1 or application for Lead Teacher Level 1 submitted to Child Development Bureau within 90 days of hire.
