Under direct supervision to Manager, Web Applications, the Lead Web System Analyst will be responsible for the continued technical advancement of MVP’s Intranet and Internet web sites. The Lead Web System Analyst will be accountable for the quality and completeness of work created under his or her direction. As such, in addition to hands-on development, he/she will also direct the activities of the company’s web development team, including technical design direction, developer mentoring, testing, and final sign off on technical deliverables. Additional tasks will include involvement in the research, selection, and implementation of applicable web application software, hardware, frameworks, design patterns and methodologies. Designs, develops and maintains a dynamic, highly functional and customer friendly web environment. Oversees Web development projects, including the company’s external web site, intranet, and its Web Portals. Designs, develops and implements standards and guidelines for technical design of Web applications. Recommends, creates and maintains a consistent Web Application Architecture across the organizations Web applications. Researches, designs, develops and implements applicable web technologies to ensure continued technological advancement of the company’s web sites and applications. Provides technical leadership, creates and develops transactional-based e-commerce solutions for business-to-business and business-to-consumer applications.
Conducts research and analyzes current and emerging Web technologies and issues in support of Web based applications. Responsible for tracking and evaluation of new standards, technologies and trends in Web architecture, development, design and delivery. Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience that provides the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the essential functions of the position will be considered.
Minimum Experience: Five years experience with architectural development, design and maintenance of web applications. Strong hands-on skills in web design and development a must.
