Position Description

The Leadership Partner is the core of all Best Practices Council program deliverables and is the primary determinant for member value and member renewals.

The Leadership Partner is the account relationship manager for his/her individual assigned members.

The Leadership Partner will build a trusting and meaningful relationship with the client; addressing member issues by facilitating access to the member network and member value planning implementation.

The Leadership Partner will support account planning in collaboration with Leadership Client Managers, and the respective Account Executive who collectively have responsibility for the assigned account.

Included are activities in the following processes:
Pre-sale, On-boarding, Establish Relationship, Full Delivery, Review, Renew.
Success in these processes is defined by; a smooth hand-off from the sales team, consistent member initiation, creation of complete member profiles, identifying the member's agenda, developing an engagement plan, performing quarterly member satisfaction reviews, preparing and delivering Short Answer Research, successful facilitation of group and member to-member connections.

SALES AND MARKETING SUPPORT
Increasing council memberships and enhance renewals by collaborating with sales organization in business development and pre-sale activities.

EVENTS DELIVERY
Successful events delivery working in concert with events management and specifically through facilitation and preparation of council meetings, teleconferences and web-enabled events--focused on a variety of topics; delivery of on-site briefings on subjects as requested by the client; developing and delivering regional briefings.

BEST PRACTICE COUNCIL RESEARCH SUPPORT
Support research activities in support of Councils such as identifying case studies and facilitating member participation in research studies.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
* University graduate (Masters preferred) with a 10+ years experience working in a senior IT management role for 5+ years or with 5+ years in other IT area (e.g. Consulting, IT Supplier, etc.)

 

* In-depth understanding of the IT industry and the role of Sr. IT leadership including Leadership of IT Infrastructure & Operations Management, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Applications, Emerging Technologies, Sourcing or Information Security and Risk management including the development of strategy and trends,  use of metrics, etc.).

 

* In depth understanding of the business value of IT and the alignment of Business and IT strategies

 

* Critical thinking and problem solving to assess client situation and provide actionable outcome based business/technical advice and access to appropriate Gartner services to support achievement of business results   

                                                                                                                                        

* High tolerance / evolved ability to lead and manage ambiguous situations 

                                                                                                                                                                                                    * Excellent relationship skills including experience working with sr. IT management

 

* Superior verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills

 

* Collaboration and team leadership.  

 

* Demonstrable sales and/or business development experience with sr. IT management

 

Strong time and project management skills TOPIC KNOWLEDGE:
Moderate level of topic knowledge for one or more of the following areas;
- in-depth Knowledge of SAP

  • - Enterprise Architecture,
    - Enterprise Applications,
    - Information Security,
    - IT Sourcing
    - Technical Infrastructure Management
    - Emerging Technologies
    - IT Human Capital.

    It is recommended that subject matter expertise is acquired through one or more of the following; management of the function in an enterprise, as a consultant in the discipline or as a researcher covering the topic.
