Summary:
The LEAN Manager will report to the VP of Operations and is responsible for the implementation and coordination of LEAN activities within the manufacturing division. Responsibilities include implementing LEAN practices and metrics, monitoring metrics and assessing performance; planning, assigning, and directing LEAN work activities. Responsible for driving continuous improvement and waste reduction in accordance with LEAN and ISO/AS9100 methods; training employees and conducting system audits; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Description:
Working with local management, provides shop-floor, execution-level leadership and actions to improve operations performance; applies principles of Lean, such as the following: Workplace Organization, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Factory Management, Error Proofing, Total Productive Maintenance, Teamwork/Training, Continuous Improvement, Pull Systems, Change-over, and Standard Work. Also applies Six Sigma DMAIC tools and processes.
Implement and oversee audit of LEAN practices.
Responsible for ensuring LEAN standards are developed and maintained.
Works with business units regarding process, flow, and floor layout, including mapping and analysis.
Provides assistance to Champions, functional departments, and business units in identifying, planning and implementing Lean and Six Sigma projects that tie strongly to business strategic priorities.
