Lean Manufacturing Engineer
Deluxe Corporation is looking for a seasoned Lean Manufacturing Engineer with excellent knowledge of Lean techniques and proven Kaizen leadership to help introduce and implement Lean practices. The purpose of this role is to assist in leading, managing and guiding the lean manufacturing evolution within Deluxe Corporation. This role integrates with the Deluxe Lean Enterprise System to develop and deploy lean knowledge, culture, principles, tools and techniques across the corporation. The Lean Manufacturing Engineer defines and supports Deluxe’s Lean strategy and associated continuous improvement programs, structures, and activities (TPM, work teams, just-in-time, built-in quality, continuous improvement.)
Responsibilities:
- Lead Lean integration and deployment at the plant level which could include facilitating leaning activities (kaizen blitzes, action plan reviews). Support, track, assess and report progress on the implementation and use of lean manufacturing techniques within the plant.
- With the Sr. Managment at the site, develop strategy for implementation of Lean. Evaluate and prioritize needs based on input from various groups of stakeholders within the organization.
- Create and maintain a Lean toolkit that can include: 5S, Kaizen, quick change over, value stream mapping, mistake proofing and line balancing.
- Develop and facilitate joint projects with customers and suppliers as needed to support key product-based value streams.
- Provide strong participation and coordination with the Deluxe Lean Enterprise System. Includes the involvement in training, sharing best practices with other company businesses and participation on focus groups that result in sustaining a position as a leading implementer of Lean Methodologies.
- Bachelors Degree (industrial or manufacturing engineering is preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Six (6) or more year’s successful manufacturing experience driving continuous process improvements.
- Demonstrated experience in Lean techniques, including VSM and planning & executing successful Kaizen events.
- Training and effective utilization of Lean methodologies.
