Lean Project Manager

About the Job

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the Project Plan for four facilities

  • In partnership with the Lean Implementation Manager develops and maintains training material for all sites

  • Maintains the schedule of Lean Events and coordinates necessary resources as required.

  • Maintain data for project report outs to Senior Leadership

  • Develops and maintains the Company Communication Plan for all Lean activities

  • Develops criteria for Team member and Team Leader certification

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Business and or demonstrated experience (minimum of 5 years) in manufacturing processes and the principles of Lean Manufacturing.

Must possess:

  • Effective problem solving skills.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)

  • Strong project management/planning abilities.

  • Understands in principle Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Standard Work, Visual Controls, Point of Use, Feeder Lines, Breakthrough Redesign

  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Must have demonstrated a high level of teamwork, initiative, and involvement in previous work assignments.

  • Must be flexible (welcome and adapt to change).

  • Travel at different times of the year may be necessary

  • Demonstrate discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.
