This position reports to the Director of Learning and Organizational Development, and the employee in this role works closely with colleagues in the L+OD group (2 L+OD Specialists), as well as colleagues in the Diversity and Talent Management group within Human Resources.
This person ensures effective development, coordination and delivery of learning initiatives, coordinates learning and education programs, and contributes to strategy, for DFCI staff. In addition this role will serve as Learning Administrator for DFCI's new myTalent Learning Management System, and assist integrating the LMS into the Institute's learning processes across all areas.
Specific responsibilities also include course support for learning instructors; creation of PowerPoint presentations and handouts, and additional prep work and follow-up work from learning programs. This person manages and maintains the L+OD budget, overseeing invoices from vendors and managing department finances via DFCIs PeopleSoft system.
Creative aspects of this job include designing marketing materials, and updating and maintaining the L+OD intranet site. The ability to work well with internal and external customers and stakeholders is essential. This person will serve as liaison between L+OD group and DFCI staff, answer inquires from DFCI employees regarding the LMS and learning programs, and coordinate with and serve as liaison to external learning service providers.
In addition, this person will oversee several aspects of New Employee Orientation, and assist with new employee arrival/registration at NEO start on Mondays.

2.Excellent communication and customer service skills over the phone, in writing and in person.
3.Excellent computer skills.
4.Proven ability to creatively design professional looking course handouts and promotional materials.
5.Ability to use various software packages: Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Macromedia Contribute. Ability to use online authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Studio a plus.
6.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
7.Sense of humor, and flexibility.
