About the Legal Secretary Position:
An established downtown Seattle commercial litigation and business planning firm is seeking a dependable legal secretary to provide litigation and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
Legal Secretary Position Duties:
-Work closely with litigation attorneys and paralegals to prepare pleadings, correspondence, and other documents;
-Manage litigation calendaring and scheduling;
-File pleadings with the courts;
-Transcription of dictation;
-Proofread and edit documents;
-Miscellaneous administrative tasks, including scanning, shredding, filing, answering phones;
-Must be available to work occasional overtime and Saturdays, if needed.
Legal Secretary Skills/Qualifications:
To be immediately considered for this position, you should have the following:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4-year degree;
-A minimum of 3 years of experience in a litigation support role;
-Ability to produce thorough and high quality work product efficiently under time constraints/deadlines;
-Knowledge of local and state court rules;
-Ability to type 80+ words per minute;
-Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel);
-Experience with Timeslips and Time Matters is preferred, but not required.
