Responsibilities |

•Provide general administrative and secretarial support to the legal department for multiple lawyers and/or paralegals (for example, maintaining files, typing documents, telephone communication, meeting, calendar and travel scheduling, maintaining supplies,, etc.). •Assist prepare and ensure delivery of routine to complex legal documents, including: ointernal memoranda, presentations and policies ocorrespondence (including correspondence relating to litigation) ocorporate transactions ocontracts oregulatory submissions oloans and credit facilities •Prepare other reports by counsel as required. •Under supervision, perform limited research as assigned. •Ensure that workflow of department progresses smoothly. •Organize and maintain invoices and accruals for legal department’s outside consultants. •Essential to have a team-work based approach, enthusiasm and willingness to assist lawyers and paralegals as needed to complete work. •Perform all other related duties as assigned. |

Qualifications |

•Education: Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.); or equivalent in legal secretarial specialization. •Experience: Minimum 4-6 years related experience. Experience as a law firm legal secretary for a corporate law department assisting multiple associates and partners strongly preferred. Experience as a secretary in an in-house legal department of a large corporation also desirable. •An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. •Certification/Licensure: None. •Other: Must have expert proficiency in utilization of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Microsoft Outlook) and be able to type a minimum of 75 WPM. Must be able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and be able to effectively prioritize work coming from multiple attorneys and paralegals. |
